Small Church
Small Church is very similar to what some have called Small Groups or Life Groups. What we are looking for is to continue to do life together outside of the church walls.
In Small Church, your group will typically look like 6-12 people, with an intention to "plant" another Small Church as you grow.
I, as Associate Pastor at FRC, would love to have every person that attends FRC to belong to some sort of small group or “Small Church”, but it is not just for FRC people. These Small Church gatherings are perfect opportunities to invite people into your lives and be a witness to Christ. As we live into His mission as “Connect, Grow and Be Transformed”, we all need to be on mission and use our gifts, friends, families, work places, events, etc., to spread the Gospel! Small Church can help us do this!
What does Small Church actually look like?
· Gather together in our homes weekly to:
o Study the Word, Worship, and Pray together (Acts 2:42-46)
o Learn to be on Mission for Jesus together (John 13:34-35)
o Learn and develop your Spiritual gifts: (Eph 4:11-13) - For ex: teacher, apostle, evangelist, shepherd (care), prophet.
As we gather weekly our goal is also to recognize and develop leaders to “plant” more Small Churches.
There is no “right way” to have Small Church, but I will be here to help guide and coach you along.
If you have any interest in being a part of Small Church, or leading a Small Church, (OR QUESTIONS), please feel free to contact Associate Pastor, Craig Pederson and we can grab a coffee.
